The most comfortable and fun hats that really stay-put, for women and girls of all ages who have lost part or all of their hair due to brain injury, cancer, or alopecia.

The Taylor Hat

Dear Ms. Jacobs,

I would like to let you know, how much we love your hats.  Since my daughter Taylor lost her hair the beginning of April.  She starting out by wearing Baseball hats, then the bandanas but like your story she was not comfortable with wearing them, until she was introduced to your line of hats.  I just wanted to share with you how much we appreciate your line of work.  We are so thankful we were introduced to you through these hats and consider you our friend.  Although we have not met personally we think of you everyday with the hats we have received from you.  You have created a comfort zone for her.  Taylor often gets nice comments on the different hats that she wears and we are honored that you even named one after her.  You are considered a gift in our family, and for that we are grateful.  I will be sending you pictures of my daughter with her hats. Thanks Again,The Gilbert Family

Our hats can be worn in different ways allowing for flexibility and comfort, always.Comfort and flexibility

THE STORY BEHIND HAVE A HAT

You feel sick and rotten and lost part or all of your hair. The wig is itchy and makes you sweat, and you want to kick something or someone, but just don't have the energy. The scarves and bandanas fall off your head when you feel like doing a cartwheel, and a baseball cap isn’t all that much fun to wear when you already have a sensitive scalp... not to mention the obvious fashion faux pass of said cap. Being gloriously bald is really not all that bad, but dealing with the well-meant questions that inevitably come when you let your bald head air out, gets your mind back on the whole battle and is just plain annoying. Nobody is to blame and nobody is at fault... What gave me the final nudge was when I heard that a little girl with alopecia was being called a "Chucky Doll", and I knew it was time to share my unique invention with a larger audience:  The hat that beats all headwear for any woman and girl that experiences hair loss due to illness.

Since I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2001, I have been making my unique invention for friends and strangers alike. In 2008 I kicked caution to the curb and started my own business: Have a Hat - Cause for Comfort. I hope to put a smile on the faces of many women and girls that have lost their hair due to illness.

Hats are shipped worldwide, and I donate part of the proceeds back to a variety of good causes.

Nobody is an island, and I have had many people help me along the way. If there is anybody out there that can help e-commerce enable my website, please call or send smoke signals, and I will be your best friend for life. For now though, you can order hats the old-fashioned way. Call me at (603) 866-0746 or send me an e-mail anka@haveahat.org.

Thank you for visiting and Have a Hat!
